US Construction & Remodeling Corp. is hiring an experienced Tile Setter / Tile Installer for residential and light commercial projects. We’re looking for a professional who can handle the full tile scope with high-quality finish work—layout, substrate prep, waterproofing (showers/wet areas), installation, grout/caulk, and clean punch-out—while working safely, staying on schedule, and coordinating well with the team. Experience with porcelain/ceramic/stone, large-format tile, and detailed trim/transitions is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete tile installation scope: demo (as needed), prep, layout, install, grout, caulk, and final punch
  • Prepare surfaces properly: flatten/level, patch, underlayment/backer board, membranes
  • Build/finish showers correctly: slope to drain, waterproofing, niches/curbs/benches
  • Maintain clean work areas daily; protect customer property and finished surfaces
  • Coordinate with project manager/foreman and other trades to stay on schedule
  • Report issues early (substrate problems, water damage, framing out-of-plumb, missing materials)

Must Have

  • Proven tile installation experience with quality finish work
  • Shower/wet area experience (waterproofing + slope-to-drain understanding)
  • Strong layout skills (centering, patterns, clean cuts, transitions)
  • Reliability + ability to work independently and with a team

Nice to have

  • Experience with large-format tile (LFT), mosaics, and natural stone
  • Experience with uncoupling/crack isolation membranes and modern waterproofing systems
  • Epoxy grout experience
  • Heated floor systems (electric radiant) experience
  • Certifications: CTEF / CTI, OSHA 10/30 (or similar)
  • Commercial kitchen/restroom tile experience
